Sainsbury's Vouchers
Thank you to everyone who sent in their Sainsbury's Active Kids Vouchers. We have collected 17,307 and have now placed the order. Itmes ordered have been - various balls, skipping ropes, a taxi bicycle, containers for playdough and many more. These will be arriving in late September, early October.

Tesco Vouchers
Many thanks to all who have sent in the Tesco Vouchers this year. The order has now been placed with a total of 8,476 vouchers having been collected, which has enabled us to order glue sticks, skipping ropes and art and craft materials which are much needed items for our school.

40th Anniversary Celebration
Everyone is invited to attend the Tree Planting Ceremony which starts at 2.00 pm in King Geroge Vth Playing Field - Westerleigh Road side. The children will be walking from the school at 1.30 pm. If you are coming to the ceremony and would like to walk with our children to the park, can you please let your childs' class teacher know. You will need to be at the school at 1.15 pm. Don't forget that your child needs a pair of wellington boots or a pair of old shoes, together with a plastic bag and a waterproof coat.

Reception and Year 6 Visit Westonbirt October 2010
Again this year, the children in Reception Class and Year 6 visited Westonbirt to see the Autumn colours. The trip was organised so that 'Buddies' have a chance to bond with each other by spending the day having fun in the leaves. The weather was fine and dry, although we did hear that in Downend there had been showers during the course of the day. As you will see from the video, the colours were magnificent.

Local Churches Group Assembly Team
The local churches assembly team came to our school on Monday and presented the story of The Little Red Hen. The children thoroughly enjoyed the story with some of our children taking part as some of the characters.
