South Glos. Festival of Youth Sport
Last Saturday, St. Augustines School took part in the South Gloucesteershire Festival of Youth Sport which took place at the Filton College's WISE Campus
Over 600 young people attended the festival from 65 primary and special schools.
Olympic Sprint Star, Jason Gardener MBE who isa UK School Games ambassador, made the presentations andwas on hand to offer advice to the young atheletes.
All children taking part, received a free medal and tee shirt as this was a celebration of the new skills they had learned through the festival coaching programme.
The children's behaviour was fantastic, they were a credit to South Gloucestershire and their schools. More...

03 April 2008 Year 3 - First Confession
On 3rd April, those children in Year 3 who are receiving their First Holy Communion later in the year, made their First Confession to Father Alex. Everyone gathered in the school hall and each child took it in turns to meet with Father Alex who was sat in the courtyard, in the morning sunshine amongst the flowers and sound of trickling water from the water feature. While the children were waiting to speak to Father Alex, readings and music was played.
There followed refreshments and a piece of First Confession Cake which Father Alex cut.

17 March 2008 Opening Ceremony of 'The Dragon'
On Friday 14th March 2008 'The Dragon' was officially opened. Mrs Franca Douglas, a teacher at St. Augustine's originally created 'The Old Dragon' but it had become a little tame and needed reviving. With the help of an artist, the dragon has been transformed and has had a new lease of life. I hope you enjoy looking at the photographs. More...
